The anticipation had been growing for a year for the rematch of the battle at Plymouth last year when the Lions beat the Pilgrims at home in a stunning 3-2 victory. The teams had played once already in the summer with Plymouth taking a 2-0 victory. The Bremen Boys were ready to defend their home field and fight for their school and community. With a large and loud crowd supporting both sides, the teams battled to a 1-1 draw that could have ended with either team claiming victory. The Pilgrims applied a ton of pressure throughout the first half, but Bremen goalie Andy Miranda was stellar making save after save and even stopping a PK. Bremen fought back with intensity in the second half, but both teams were slowed down by a long stoppages that hurt the flow of the game. In the end, it was certainly another example of the intensity that has built in the Bremen v Plymouth Soccer rivalry.
